Anti-Graffiti Powder Coatings
The choice of cleaning agent will depend upon the type of coating being removed from the powder surface, but tests show that apart from paint stripper, nearly all solvent based cleaners are suitable without detriment to the powder coating film. The properties of a cured film are dependent on the condition of the substrate, which must be thoroughly clean and dry and free from oxide, rust, scale, etc. Corrosion resistance is improved with the employment of phosphate or chromate conversion coatings, as appropriate, prior to powder coating. In order to achieve these substrate conditions at Hydralon we have a comprehensive range of pre-treatment facilities. Our Technical support team can advise on the most suitable pre-treatment for each end use. Typical performance figures for an Anti-Graffiti coating are:- Physical Properties
Corrosion Resistance
Continuous Heat Resistance Good colour and gloss retention are exhibited at temperatures up to 130ºC in continuous and 140ºC in intermittent operating. Availability A full range of colours is available, but only full gloss is possible in this range for outdoor use. |
